Deassigning and reassigning woodcutters is a basic move before/during the storm to reduce hostility.
I'd like that we had a button somewhere next to the hostility level icon that we can click to disable woodcutting globally - and thus reducing hostility - without deassigning the workers from the camps every time.
I think this will be a QoL change as it is not challenging action ,just mundane, so the gameplay complexity wouldn't suffer.

伐木场上弄个键位直接撤出所有伐木工人,有时候风暴季,压下4-5个伐木场有点累

In today's update (0.52 - Quality of Life Update), we added an "unassign all woodcutters" button to the HUD. It's right next to the hostility icon. Left-clicking it will remove all woodcutters, right-clickign it will add one random woodcutter to an built woodcutters' camp.

that's all
I had about 4 woodcutter buildings in my last games and it's becoming annoying to do this with 12 woodcutters manually.
Early to mid game I will manually dismiss all the Woodcutter's Camp workers in order to lower the Hostility. Then, after the storm passes, I pause and manually employ all the workers back.
A nice UI button with "stop/start work" or at least "dismiss all" will be a great addition.
It may "streamline" this tactic a bit too much tough, but for experience players this will really speed up things.
Thank you.

Would be great if Hearths & Woodcutter Camps had an option to "Recall all Woodcutters" as this is frequently used to reduce hostility when a storm hits but feels like a repetitive pause-chore rather than gameplay

And that button gets replaced with a "Resume Work" button so it's a single click to send whatever workers are still available back out there.

Hold shift key while assigning / unassigning workers to fill / unfill all slots.
thanks, that's at least some help.

Hey! I'm not sure if this is specifically what you're looking for, but you can hold Shift when clicking on the worker's icon in the building's panel to assign or remove all workers.
Hi!
I'm not the OP
But, I thought I would like to suggest something related to this thread:
I wouldn't mind a button in the UI for this. It would make it more obvious for all players not knowing the shortcut. and it would make it easier overall because you are also 'assigning' the jobs again with a mouse click. Plus it would be easier on the steam deck too

Instead of it being all or nothing, the woodcutter could have a setting for “max hostility” which will automatically remove woodcutters any time hostility is over that, until the target hostility is reached (remove all of them if the target hostility cannot be reached)

Merged with: Add button to stop all woodcutting
It's a bit of a hassle to go to every woodcutting camp and remove every villager when i want to lower the threat level before night, but a button to stop all woodcutters or remove them from their camps would improve that greatly.
This would be great to combine with the resource production per minute page suggestions. The ability to see production and consumption and be able to either halt production or remove all workers from those jobs would be a great QoL update

Or, add an easily accessible "max woodcutters" control which you can quickly dial up and down.

A tick box or icon like the one that avoids opening glades to empty building and a shift modifier to empty all woodcutter camps would be neat.

I suggested this exact thing on another post in the comments but it's nice that someone made a post specifically for it. Would love to see this implemented. It wouldn't even need to remove them from the camps, just have them on break and have it not count towards hostility.

I'm no expert but I think that the hostility modifiers associated with woodcutting are attributed to the job (workers in the building) rather than the actual woodcutting as well as the resolve modifiers from certain cornerstones. So just stopping the job wouldnt prevent hostility? Unless they recode/change the mechanic. I like the idea though.

I agree. I made a post about it here:

But yours may be a better solution.
