Make Hunger Realistic

Currently hunger seems like a minor annoyance and can be easily gamed. One way is to make it a real consideration would be to have a small chance per hunger stack per second that the settler immediately leaves / dies. If this is too harsh than only do this for each hunger stack past the first.

After the latests update (Sentinels of the Forest) a new attribute (hunger tolerance) was added to each species. From now on enough stack of hunger can kill a villager (if the number of stacks exceeds the tolerance value).

Have you gotten to the higher prestige rankings yet?

Trust me, hunger becomes far more than an annoying once they start consuming double food, and even more so if you get the event that saps your stocks of them while you work it.

people can live for months without food, years if they're allowed desperation tactics, even if that means boiling their belts/shoes, just won't be very happy about it. You are in a forest, folks prolly eating random plants to make due. It's more unrealistic for villagers to be doing nothing during hunger times and instantly drop dead from missing rations.
