Unless I'm missing something, theres no option to see that unless you manually count them, and it would be nice to know how much vacant space you still have left for newcomers.

next to each species (top left) is an icon denoting how many are homeless
The issue with this is when nobody is homeless and you get newcomers. Say you get 3 different species in each batch, and you have regular houses, plus race specific houses for the 3 species. You have to manually check each house to see if you have enough free slots to accept the newcomers without any of them becoming instantly homeless. (which you don't want if you're maintaining high resolve)
