Maybe as a buildable building, or upgrade, or maybe just builders without a job to do.

But essentially anyone with this task will try and grab finished products from production buildings, or raw material from camps. Allowing you to dedicate some people to moving items so that your production villagers are spending more time producing instead of fetching stuff.

Though to be fair most of this might be solved by overall game mechanics and the new logistic system.

Add a means to employ workers to ferry goods to/from production sites and warehouses. Perhaps construct a separate post building, or upgrade warehouses to enable hauling positions. This way you can let the workers in remote camps focus on the resource collection without having to haul their own products back.

Would like to suggest an improved solution to hauling issues - either a dedicated hauler building that would dispatch a worker to haul items to the warehouse once production building reaches, say, 75% of storage OR being able to designate a single worker inside a building as strictly a hauler - they don't work in the building, their job is only to carry the items to the storage so the other workers can resume crafting.

What do you thing about having a building with dedicated settlers assigned as carriers? These could for example focus more on transporting goods from the production facilities to the wearhouses.

I think it would be a pointless building. A better idea is to let idle villagers do it: villagers idle in buildings, idle farmers, idle builders.

Maybe add this to idle builders.

I think I know what you mean. There is this game called Rise to Ruins, which have a work role called organizers, which does exactly what you described. I do like it, but I am not sure if the game needs it with the new logistic system.
