I had a game where 6-8 villagers died in the middle of Drizzle without understanding if it was something I neglected or if it was a bug. I think being able to click or hover on the death notification and getting details about the source of death (starvation, negative effect or event etc.) would be super useful.

Hi! This is already implemented in the game. All death notifications have a tooltip when you hover over them. The tooltip shows the exact reason why someone died.
If this is missing in a specific case, than it's most likely a bug.
