Often you have to make a decision as to what type of product to use to create an end product (stone or clay for bricks for example) and the correct way to make that decision is based on what fertilities you have.
Yes, I could just remember what fertilities exist for the biome that I embarked to but it's a lot of mental load that has to be solved by going all the way to the escape screen to see your fertilities.

Hi! I assume you are talking about the biome information and resource availability when selecting blueprints? You can already do this. Just hover your mouse over the round resource icon next to the NPC portrait. It will display a tooltip with the same information as the summary in the ESC menu.
The same icon is also present in the order selection popup and in the window where you select cornerstones.
