Toggle for farmers to become builders when idle

Since farmers can often become idle when there isn't enough fields to work on, or sometimes there are buffs that make them faster during one season, it is a bit of a hassle to remember to make them work elsewhere when they are idle. I usually just forget because it's annoying micro, so it would be nice if there was an option to toggle them as back-up builders during idle times.

When assigning workers to a building that uses farm fields, they should automatically build the field plots instead of having to build them independently of the building that uses them.

Quite often I have people assigned to a farm or plantation but they will sit idle and wait for someone to build their fields.

This is especially annoying with the "Storm spawns living matter on fields" modifier that requires frequent rebuilding of fields.

Or maybe make them to "groom" the plants, which would act a bit like plowing. Increasing a % value to yield more ressource.

this could also affect the blightrot fighters so they can become builders since after crafting the necessary amount they just go afk. Sure they can be micro'd but it feels unnecessary since theyre (usually) never active during clearance season so every year u have to do the micro.

might be a bit unbalanced as a general feature, but it would certainly be nice if farmers were able to build farm plots in range if you assigned them too quickly. Just having a bit less to micro-manage when you start building one up.

It's not unbalanced because it's a buff given by perks that reduce farming time. If you pay for 25% quicker planting with tools or amber you should be getting something out of it, and most of the time you aren't unless you micro stuff.

I wouldn't mind that as a Service building perk or cornerstone even, since that would be a straight upgrade nearly all the time. Managing workforce in different buildings vs building is a fundamental part of gameplay, having this be a simple toggle would automate a significant portion of management.

I disagree, the perks that increase planting or harvesting speed are currently useless unless you do tedious micro so to make them beneficial farmers should actually do something when idle.
