What to craft with a certain resource

It's easy. There are recipes on how to produce a certain resource depending on the building plans I have. What I haven't found is an easy guide of "What can I make with _this_ resource here?" E. g. imagine I have a lot of berries but I don't know how to add value with them, it would be could to have production options available on mouse click instead of clicking through every building to check if I can use them for something helpful.

Hi. You can already do that in the game using the recipe panel (the third button from the right in the top right corner of the screen). You can type in any item name and see where it's used or what it produces (you can toggle between ingredient and product with the toggle next to the search bar).

Look at your Recipes Panel. There is a slider for Products or Ingredients...
